A great way to recycle.
I have been using bike tubes for many things over the years.
Jewellery has been quite popular in the crafting circuit.
I made these as an example for some students to show how quick it is to do.

Sewing Aprons
I have been doing lots of personal touches to the business space.
I wanted to sew all the aprons myself.
I have used old jeans and they worked out great.
I even had little labels made to sew on.
I think its the little things that show the love!!

Lint Craft
Other than fire starter, I was determined to see if there was something else that could be done with all of our lint.
I found a website, actually a few, that told of Lint Clay.
Well why not I guess.
So I set out to see if indeed it could be possible.
I worked in the glue and water.
I chose to wear gloves, for some many reasons, I mean it is lint after all.
Anyways, I found that it was hard to mold into anything.
SO?.. I opted for a square.
A tester, I told myself.
But lets face it, this is about as far as this craft will ever get.
I have to admit it did harden well and stays together great.
Maybe I'll use it as a paper mache project base.

Bantido
E has been having some serious worries lately.
Scared of me dying, her dying, life/death stuff.
No small thing for such a small thing.
I made her a sock puppet, a racoon actually from this book.
She hasn't let "Bandito" go since.
Hasn't let me go either.
Lots of talking lately, and I can see her growing before my eyes.
Nobody said growing up was easy.

Photo Prop
I love this old bike.
But I love it even more since I sprayed it blue!!
We used it in a family portrait and it now lives perched by one of our old apple trees by the garden.

Pop Bottle Crafts
During the summer we seem to acquire pop bottles.
We don't usually have these around but with friends, family and neighbours coming over for dinners, BBQ's, bon fires and summer evening visits we always are left with many.
So instead of recycling, we craft.
Terrariums and bubble blowers this time.

Quick Crafts
Kids had fun with this old style craft idea.
I nailed a bunch of tiny nails into a shape, in this case a heart and gave each kid a spool of thread and let them mind it any way they chose.
Turned out to be a lovely travelling craft, works well in the car as its clean and doesn't need any supervision.
The next day we took some tin beer bottles someone left in our recycling.
We glued patterns and designs on and let set (although next time I think I will try the hot glue gun instead).
Once all dried I spray painted them.
That's it, that's all!!!
