Sewing 101

Head bands and purses we what these ladies learned to sew last week.
They even hand painted a patch for the from of their purses.
I love teaching sewing.

Ocean Discovery Centre

In Victoria this is a great little place to take the kids.

Lot sto see and so, interactive and informative.

We will be going back again soon.

Scales

Very frugal way to create scale, but rather effective I must admit.
Hung the clothes hanger from the ceiling and this contraption was used all day to weigh pretty much everything that we touched.

Tie Dye Paper Booklets

After dying and drying the paper, we sewed it together with a cardstock cover.

Perfect little booklets for treasured words and pictures.

Sensory Balls

I filled up all these balloons with various things and asked the girls to guess what was in each.
Not as easy as they thought.
Still one they cannot get.....corn starch.

Balloon Races

We had fun learning about motion, physics, air pressure and friction among others all while playing with balloons.

Schooling really is that fun!!

Stamp/Print Making

Simple stamping with erasers and styrofoam always have great results with kids.

I love how these turned out this time.

Egg Drop Contest

Who can package up their egg in the best  most inventive way so itll remain intact after falling 20 feet from the balcony?
