I am always trying to fill time up with quick crafts, to keep kids active and creative.
I find no shortage of inspiration from Pinterest, so its never hard to get something in daily.

Books Last Month

Home Studies

Our home facilitator came for her term meeting today.
The girls get so excited for her to come over, they love her as she really pays attention and is sincerely interested in their work.
Nobody else really takes that sort of time to really see what they do.

Poor teacher spent nearly 3 hours looking through school work, lapbooks, artwork, homemade movies and photos.

The girls have worked so hard this term and they should be proud of themselves.

They got some real special time in with her, sharing and showing off.


I love being able to revisit all our work throughout the term.
Then it all gets put into boxes and stored in the crawlspace, making room for the new stuff to come.

Few of my Favourite Things

Chandelier Love/Book Club

This amazing Chandelier was given to me by my beautiful neighbour friend.

Then my hubby and her set it up when I was out one afternoon.

I was able to use it for my book club in September.

                                             I covered it with 30 candles and it was lovely.

We had the event catered for a special girls night.
I went with a super group of local ladies who knocked our socks off with authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

Complete with dessert and honeyed wine.

We did have a slight fire situation, and it left the clothes burned and a singe mark on my table.

If you ever get the chance to read Cutting for STone by Abraham Verghese I highly recommend it.
And if you get a chance to be in a book club I think you couldn't do yourself anything better.
This group of ladies are the most amazing women I know and I am eternally grateful for each one of them.

Tattoo and You

I had the privilege of participating in a project by an amazing local photographer, Gordon Ross. 

He and his lovely assistant put together a book of people, their tattoos and their stories.

This beautifully made photo journal book  can be purchased.

I love mine.

It tells a part of my story.

Thank you Gordon for that opportunity.

Lap Books This Term

 E has been loving doing lapbooks like her big sister.
So much so almost everything gets made into one now.

 But I just love them.

K did a great study on the 7 Ancient wonders of the World.
I think I learned just as much as she did.

 E's pile of school work/booklets this year.

 K's book/paper work this term.

 Great lapbook on Rome we did, we were transported back to the ancient life and learned so much.

 A quick couple day study on whales.

 E has such fun and colourful projects.

This is what the schooling closet looks like at the end of this term.
Gotta sort through all this and get ready for next year.

 Date night to AC/DC tribute band with hubby, closest we're gonna get any time soon.

 Mother's Day Breakfast in bed!!

Spa for mama, quiet time and a book by the beach afterwards, perfect.
