Clay Pendants

Roll out some clay.
 Cut into desired shapes.
Press in a flower or some such thing.

Air dry over night.

Then bake slow and slow for 3 hours.

Paint as you wish.
Great kids craft we did with a few of our friends to give to their moms for Mothers day.
This one was given to me!!

April Fools and Easter Time

I made lots of funny pranks this year, by far this was the best!!

The kids weren't super interested in the idea of easter eggs, but once i had all the supplies out they played for hours.

Tea Break

My new favorite mug, from my precious littlest darling.
And sunshine in the morning
And tea from David's Teas

Science Stuff

The kids are having a great session of schoooling lately.
We have had so much time to enjoy crafting and experimenting.
This was a neat little project that was quick to set up and quick for results.
Perfect mod day boredom buster too.

We also heated up some larger beach rocks in the oven and drew on them with crayons.
I have these in the garden now and they are colourfully beautiful.

Stalagmites and Stalactites

Using a heavy solution of epsom salt and water that we died blue, we watched these stalactites grow.
Every time they'd get long enough to look at and photograph a kid would accidentally knock it off.
This si the only one i managed to get.
Its a great little experiment, please don't judge it by these photos.

These were my favourite!!

Faux Strawberries

I read somewhere that the birds will be confused by painted rocks and leave my strawberries alone.
K seems to think that the birds have a sense on smell and that these rocks were a waste of time.
Either way they'll add colour to the garden.
And i'll let you know if they worked.

Traveling Raw

One thing about Raw food is that its usually quite perishable.
When we travel anywhere, for a day or a week, I have to tote along quite the kit bag.
It can be humorous when my food bag is bigger than my suitcase.
There are quite a few more raw food places popping up, but they are pricey and they can be quite dicey with quality.
I have noticed quite a few little businesses selling pre-made raw treats, I like that.
But for the most part its up to me.
