April Fools and Easter Time

I made lots of funny pranks this year, by far this was the best!!

The kids weren't super interested in the idea of easter eggs, but once i had all the supplies out they played for hours.

Home Studies

Our home facilitator came for her term meeting today.
The girls get so excited for her to come over, they love her as she really pays attention and is sincerely interested in their work.
Nobody else really takes that sort of time to really see what they do.

Poor teacher spent nearly 3 hours looking through school work, lapbooks, artwork, homemade movies and photos.

The girls have worked so hard this term and they should be proud of themselves.

They got some real special time in with her, sharing and showing off.

I love being able to revisit all our work throughout the term.
Then it all gets put into boxes and stored in the crawlspace, making room for the new stuff to come.

Shadow Puppets

These are the moments that I will treasure forever.
And with the invention of the iPhone, will never forget.
Cuddling with my girls at the days end, and sometimes for the whole night, I get these great one on one moments.
Shadow puppets of course are essential to any night time cuddle session!!

Thinking of Jenn

Well over a year has passed and theres probably not a day that goes by that I dont think of Jenn and think of all the love and lessons she handed us before she left.

I know I am a better person because I knew her.

I know she looks in on us all from time to time, sending us little hellos.

This heart on my wall was light refracting from the bathroom onto my bedroom wall, but no matter how many times i have tried to get it to happen again by shifting mirrors and angles of doors and lights, I cannot get it to happen again.
I know this was from her and so I photographed it to keep and share.

Spread Love!!

Tattoo and You

I had the privilege of participating in a project by an amazing local photographer, Gordon Ross
He and his lovely assistant put together a book of people, their tattoos and their stories.

This beautifully made photo journal book  can be purchased.
I love mine.
It tells a part of my story.
Thank you Gordon for that opportunity.

Baby Robins

 We were incredibly lucky.
When we were at camp someone showed up this little secret.

A silly mama robin built her nest not 3 feet from the ground, odd but advantageous for us.
We got to peak in on these little miracles.

3 of them all nestled up, trying to keep warm in the cool morning air.
Mama bird kept a noisey vigil, so we didn't stay long.

Perfect jumping point for a lap-book this week.
