Maroon 5

A while back I took K and a mommy/daughter date to the mainland for a Marroon 5 concert.
It was fabulous!!

We had such a great time.
Now I know what the big hype about Adam Levine is about.

Dance Recital week

The girls practiced hard for months and it all comes down to recital week.
They have photo day then tech, rehearsals and dress rehearsal.

Lots of hurry up and waiting going on.
But then the big night!!
The girls shine.
They love to be on stage.
I love to watch t hem and to see them having so much fun.
I am one proud mama!!

Tid Bits

Christmas Concert

We hosted the girls musical talents with a Christmas concert for family.

Their fabulous teacher and her other students all put on a fantastic performance.

I had to get the tissue for these parts.

I love music in our lives.

Ukelele

Each girl has to take up a musical instrument this year as part of home-schooling.
E chose the ukelele and she just loves it.

It is wonderful to hear her play and learn.
I wish I had had been encouraged to play an instrument as a child.
Maybe I should pick one up now, never too late to learn.

Recycled Music

A thrifty recycled craft session and we had our own little band.
Tin can lid castanets and wooden dowel rhythm sticks.
Decorate and play.
Easy enough and a winner with the kids.
