13th Anniversary

We had our 13th wedding anniversary last month.

It was a busy mid-week evening, hubby just came home from a long day and it was hot hot hot!!
I packed a picnic and we headed to the beach for dinner date with the kids.

The beach lends to great creative moments.

And if you ever come across this stuff, given to me from a dear friend for my birthday, Grab It!!
Yummy!!

Fresh picked berries and whip cream dessert, at the beach, with my sweety and my kiddos.....perfection!!

Weekend Getaway to Hornby

We had the opportunity to go to Hornby for the weekend and it was a fantastic getaway.

We nestled into a caravan in exchange for cleaning a rental.
It was a bit rustic and the family wasn't too impressed.

The outdoor bathing was one thing!

The mouse poop in the bedding another.

But the outhouse with no door was the topper!!

But there were snakes.!!!

And miles of beach!!

Perfect!!

Heritage Fair/Day Trip

K wanted to go to the next level with her heritage fair project.
Although she was unable to compete due to registration issues, she blew the competition away and is thrilled to compete next year.
What an amazing experience for her.

Then we toured Port Alberni and enjoyed the hot sunshine we seem to be missing here.
