Giving Thanks for a Beautiful Day

It is a perfect time of year to cherish the ones you love and give thanks for all that you have.
I am thankful and grateful for all that I have in my life.
I am fulfilled in every way and generously loved by the most special people in my life.
There is never a moment that I do not think that, but sometimes it needs to be said and there is no better time than right now.

And how did we spend this most grateful day?
We did a bunch of chores outside, taking advantage of the remaining sunshine.
I painted the dog house which I am happy about.
I looks quite regal now, don't you think?
Needs some white trim and the name tags, but looking quite snazzy.

E was a great little helper and was pretty clean about it too, thankfully because it was oil paint.
A weekend craft project for K was a cornucopia.
After explaining what they were she was delighted to make this one for the centerpiece.
After a fruitful growing season, the pumpkins are ready to be used and adorn every corner of the yard.
We were fairly lucky with our crop this year growing both orange and white ones.
I wheeled some over for a carving fest this afternoon.
We saved all the seeds and I spent a half an hour sorting through the muck to clean them.
Not a particularly pleasant or quick job might I add.
Tomorrow I will make roasted pumpkin seeds to go with our dinner.
A yummy reward for the efforts.
K does a great job all by herself.

And the annual favorite.....

I am not sure if they will last till Halloween but it was a wonderful outside day, so I took the opportunity.
