Happy Weekend All

I always wished I could do felting.
But I have never really figured it out right.
I have tried a couple of times, buying all the necessary items and such, thinking how hard can it really be?
Still I haven't mastered it in the least.
Maybe I should take a class.....do you know how often I think that?
So when I saw this beautiful bounty I had to cough up and pay for them.
Well worth it.
And although the kids just love them and play endlessly with them, they are on display on the living room table.
My ode to thanksgiving centerpeice.

When you have large animals you must find ways to accommodate them.
J has spent the last 3 winters somewhat perturbed with the animal situation, ie: Molly being cold.
This last shift out he finally grabbed his tools and bought a bunch of materials and built a fully insulated and fully accessible (to clean), dog house.
Well more like a dog condo actually.
I swear it is nicer than the rest of our house and once painted will be the envy of all the 4 legged critters on our property.

There is even a special loft inside for a cat area.
This is it till it gets the roofing finished and paint on, and the dogs are so happy you can see them smiling.

Our meat birds are growing like crazy.
They are always in a feeding frenzy and it is so funny to watch them all scrambling around and making loud squawking noises.

They are not quite as friendly as our other birds but E still tries to hold them.

4 more weeks and we are in serious need of a new, very large, freezer.
We have 20 meat birds, 1/2 a huge cow and 1/2 a pig all coming by months end.
That is not including the 2 freezers we already have and the huge turkeys that have taken up any space that once was left in our freezers .
And it is a real shame as we are not even going to eat a turkey for thanksgiving because there are not enough of us to have a full fledged turkey dinner.
All kids just love to watch animals and these chickies put on quite a show.

Now onto our sheep.
This is Opus and he is becoming a real handful.
He took J out the other day and has had his eye on the girls.
He is quite mischievous but still a sweetheart.
This is not the best picture, I caught him in a sneer, but you do get to see his teeth which is something you don't usually see.

Dear sweet Ben.
I remember bottle feeding him and he still lets me give him kisses.
Even with sap stuck to his head he is still a darling.

Our crazy Bella is most defiantly the sassiest animal I have ever had.
She is quite courageous and entertaining, as seen here trying to take on the sheep.
Thankfully they were not really concerned with her at all.

My computer was out for a repair and I feel miles behind, so begins my catch up.
I now feel I have one down and 15 to go.
I hope you all have a wondeful Thansgiving weekend.
