Pre Easter Festivities

This morning was spent selling cookies with the Sparks at Safeway on a rather mild sunny day.
Compared to yesterdays mayhem of wind of rain it was wonderful.
The girls sold 21 cases of 24 boxes each, that's a grand total of 504 individual boxes of cookies, all in 2 hours.
That is a great success.

Yesterday was a great day for flying kites. We had a couple families who were out of power come and spend the morning with us and we all had so much fun.
We also did a bit of yard work and prep for our Easter egg hunt tomorrow.
But all that work was a waste of time.
When I got up this morning the yard looked like a cyclone hit it.

We burned much of the debris, and have saved some for a bonfire for the kids tomorrow.

Easter has been at our house for about 2 weeks now and I am definitely ready for it be done.
We have decorated the house in fine Easter fashion.

With all the colours of spring.

I found a bunch of vintage style decorations and I feel in love with them.
They have way more character.
There are about 30 stuffed bunnies and chickies all around and trinkets in every corner.
How did we ever amass such a collection I will never know.
We paper mached eggs and made dioramas as well.

We cut out pretty birds from some scrap paper and hung them around the house.

I even managed to get in a bit of sewing for a few birthdays this week.

I spent a couple hours last night filling over 450 eggs with treats and chocolates for the hunt and have way too many treats to put out tonight.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter and that the bunny brings lots of goodies.
