Cats and Birds Do Go Together....I Hope!!

Miss Bella is pregnant.
We have never had an animal that has not been spayed or tutored (Far Side anyone?).
K asked if we could let Bella have kittens and sure enough it happened.
I am quite excited actually.
She has been the mellowest cat and sleeps 99% of the time.
By my calculations we have another 4-5 weeks till kittens arrive.
Should be a neat life lesson for the little ladies.

Meanwhile........
I have finally been worn down.
K worked on me for about a year and yesterday I finally broke down and we bought a bird.


Meet Dexter.
Yes the kids named him and it suits him incredibly well.
He is 3 months old and has tonnes of character.



The girls couldn't be more pleased.

I am quite smitten myself as he has taken to me the most.

I find myself quite innocently saying "pretty bird"....and whistling endlessly.

I think I am going to be the crazy bird lady all the kids will talk about.
