Boys and Girls....

I think this is so marvelously fun it makes me want to try it.
I love having little girls and this really appeals to my sense of whimsy and since I have a box full of lovely dresses from years gone by that I could accomplish this with.....I really want to try.
But then what? Do I have a BBQ or an evening party to show it off?
Seems a little weird for that really.
Art? but only seasonally I would assume.
HHMMMM. Maybe I will just share this picture with you and that will have to be enough.

This on the other hand this is cool enough to actually make.
I recently found our old Polaroid camera but am still scouting out film for it.
Once I do I can't wait to let the kids have a crack at it and then hang all the snap shots masterpieces in this creative manner, but I think I will have to dress it up a bit with beaded ribbon instead of teal yarn.

WARNING!!!
Profanity following!!!
This just had to be shared because it is SO Soooo darn cute.
My friends' and her little misses, who is only 1 month old, stopped by today to pick up her older brother whom we were watching for the afternoon.
She had this to share with us.
Hee Hee Hee.

As much as I love having little girls and sewing many fancy and cute skirts, dresses and such for them it was a really change of pace to have the opportunity to sew something boyish and camouflage pants couldn't be more boyish in my mind.
A friends oldest little man was asking for these for the past few weeks and I felt awful it took me so long to make them as we were crazy busy and on vacation.
The night before last I finally tackled them and I love how they turned out.

I am really bad when it comes to sewing, I do not use a pattern and just do what I think is right.
My guerrilla sewing method proves it self once again.
Eyed up the pockets and a bunch of little tabs to hang stuff on, I think the only warning these pants should come with is to check all the pockets before washing.
Quick to sew and, from his reaction, right on the money. (I hope).
K was my model and E said she would love a pair too, only could I make then pink with sparkles
and a sash with glitter and ..and...and...
Yes there are definitely differences between girls and boys.
