Another Homeschoolling Year Finished

Yet again this year K excelled at her schooling and was a delight to teach.
We had late wake ups, our schedule was quite opposite compared to many of our friends.
K finished all of the PLO's (prescribed learning outcomes) for grade 2 by January, so we took on many activities and projects to reinforce what she had learned, reapplying concepts in many alternate ways.
We entered into a science/heritage fair.
K chose logging as it is a big part of her life with daddy, papa and great papa all being ones.

The project was a huge undertaking and K was impressive in her presentation and understanding.

She was so proud of her hard work and it was evident in her enthusiasm to share it with everyone who came over to our house or walked by her booth.

She was invited to go onto further fairs but because of her age/grade wasn't qualified to compete just share.
She was fine to leave that till another year.

I am so proud of her and all her hard work and dedication to her education.
It is definitely summer time though as we both have wained form our commitment to sit for 2 hours a day.
I look forward to a break as much as she does.

Next year E will be going to kindergarten and K will enter grade 3 at home.
It will be a hectic pace to keep up for myself but am excited to the future.
