Bella Session

Every year there is an auction with all proceeds going to YANA.
They host many fundraising events that take place through out the year but this one is the biggest by far.
An organization founded in the Comox Valley to help support families when a child is ill and needs medical help.
It is an organization that should be in every town but sadly it isn't.
Please check out there website http://www.yanacomoxvalley.com/ and read all about them and the fabulous things they do.

Every year I solicit one of the local little towns in our community for auction donations but haven't been able to make an auction yet.

This year a group of friends placed a winning bid for a session with top notch photographer Karen McKinnon.

http://www.mckinnonblog.com/ Check out her beautiful photos on her webite and blog.
One of the ladies unfortunately got the flu the day of the shoot and I was invited to take her place....I was so excited as I was initially jealous I couldn't be a part of it.
13 Ladies and the most amazing photographer/friend/true spirit and her great assistant made for one incredible night.

Delicious snacks......

Liquids...

Too many clothes.....
Shoes and accessories.....

A professional make-up artists to make us all stunningly beautiful.....

Then the show was on.

We each took our turn in front of the camera then rested, cheered and watched in between.

Music...play it D.J!!

Last week we received our photos and were all blown away.
Karen made me feel like a superstar and I feel that I look beautiful in these images, which will help some days when I do not feel so glamourous.
I love each one and am excited that I will have photographs of myself to share as the years go by and my looks start to fade (even more).

Thank you so much Karen.
For everything you do for each and every person you capture on film, by giving them stunning portraits, wonderful memories and so much more.
The love that you put into each picture is noticable and immeasurable.
Thank you Karen for doing so much for the community and for all your hard work and dedication to supporting Yana each year.
My husband also thanks you for the picture he will be hanging in his office.
