It has been a slow, to the point of scary growing season.
I was on the verge of thinking that I may lose all my hard work to the miserable rain gods.
But alas the sunshine has broken through and the yard and gardens are alive with colour.

I wanted to share a few photos of the flowers around our home, but couldn't decide which ones I liked best.
This is a slimmed down version of my original post.

I feel alive with all the colour bursting in every corner of the yard.
I was really starting to get depressed with only grey, brown and greens.

Thank you sunshine....
Today's adventuring lead us to Wolfe Lake with our little dingy, fishing rods and a container of freshly dug worms from the garden.

The sun was out and the wind was blowing.
Perfect day for a row around a lake.
It seemed as though everybody else had the same idea.
It was quite busy for a little lake.

As I caught up on my reading, J and the girls caught a few lily pads but no fish.

It has been an adventurous few days and I look forward to a week of
play dates and mellow yard days.
Hopefully we can get in a few more games of
boccie as well.
