Zippity Do Da, Zippity Yah....These are the Things That We Did Today

We gave our woody friend Chip, a squirrel that lives in the trees in the front yard, a pile of fresh peanuts.
He is the chattiest little guy that keeps the kids and cats entertained equally.

The girls worked on some vases and flower pots for mother's day gifts.

I love the concentration on E's face here.

I sat back and soaked in the sun and did some embroidering.
I have plans for another quilt...one day...full of nice home loved panels.

This is our rooster Rusty in quarantine.
He and Rufus had a fight to the death.
I can see why people say to only have one in a pen, and glimpsed why gamblers pay for this gruesome game.
They really do go at each other.
Now we have to figure out what to do with him once he's better.

The sun was out it all it's hot spring glory.
The blossoms and such were all reaching for the sky absorbing the rays.

I actually have a peonie in the greenhouse that is going into bloom.
I think they have to be one of my favorite flowers.
Here is the other garden door.
Not as elaborate as the first but I had to let J off the hook and make it a bit easier to cut out.
I still have to decide what color to paint it.
I picture an orange and yellow, red combination but dread the idea of a glowing door in the dead of winter.
So I may be conventional and paint it a plain Jane color.
I usually get carried away with paint samples so this should prove to be an interesting project all in all.
The ladies painted their salt clay creations for Nana.
Tea for two.
So cute.

After lunch in the garden, we spent the afternoon at the beach down the road.

The girls ran and played in the water for hours.

Crab hunting and seaweed harvesting.

Making soups for the birds.

Then I turned around and found this.
It made me have one of those lump in your throat, full of pride and joy, my girl is so grown up moments.

We live it good.
