Woodland Gardens

There is a magical place that's open for the public to enjoy the spirit of Christmas.
A special family that works all year round to showcase their amazing gardens for weddings and festivals in the summer months and in the winter months they decorate with wonderment for the spirit of Christmas.

They have a barn filled with greenery and trees and tinsel and lights.
The REAL Santa is there in the evening for kids of all ages.
I get that deep in the pit of my stomach giddy feeling when we go there.

They sell hot apple cider and hot chocolate to cozy up with as you listen to carollers singing beautifully.
There is no place that feels more like Christmas.
I feel so lucky to be able to share it with our kids.


We went last week with the NIDES homeschoolers for a afternoon walk and tour of the barn.
Although Santa was not there yet, the magic sure was.

This family spends so much time on their 24 acres and you can see the love.

You have to keep your eyes open for all the special treasures hiding around.

You can sense they share their hearts with you when you walk around this land.

The long trails switch back and forth and bring you to a riverside lush and green, then back up and around so that you have circled around all 24 acres.

The kids had a great time, and felt special to be there.

Their are benches and bridges, handrails and bark mulch trails, all lovingly maintained.

But the nicest feeling is the crisp air, the water rushing below and the sound of nature that you are immersed in as you walk.

Ice is starting to form on the edges of all the water.

I wish I could live here and soak up heaven everyday.
