Festive-ities

AAAHHHH!!!
Tis the season.
We came across Santa at the mall recently, and since he looked rather bored we had a great visit with the big man.
Katie is aware that all these Santas roaming about are just his helpers.
Thats because the real Santa is at Woodland Garden, which we go to on Wednesday.

In Cumberland the newly annual Truck Parade brought out hundreds last night in the sub zero festiveness.
It is really quite well organized and the kids love it, the snacks, singing and hot chocolate.

This is our neighbours awesome entry.
The prize winner for such.
Could you imagine the cost to do this?

I had the time finally to get to J's stocking and I loved how it turned out.
For my logger man, in full charm and caulks included, YES!! a work boot stocking.
He just loves it and that makes me so happy.
It was tricky to make and the details are lost in my horrible photography.
But you get the idea.

I was in full baking mode yesterday doning an apron and flour on my face.
I have to confess I ate way too much of it all.

Truffles anyone??
I put a few packages of gingerbread together to give to some friends to be able to make some men.
I though it would be a nice treaty gift.
I hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

The kids and cousins spent over an hour making gingerbread people, and such.
Snack time was yummy as every kid loves to eat what they make, especially when it is cookies.
At the CCSS Breakfast with Santa there were so many crafts that we spent the morning having so much fun and walked away with a full tummy and an armload of goodies.

Someone was so excited when Santa sat with us at breakfast.
I would have keeled over as a kid if that happened to me.
Lucky girl.
This picture really says what she was thinking...."Really? I can eat this before breakfast??"

I was amazing and in awe at the work on these gingerbread houses.
What talent.

The girls had fun making wreaths and got to decorate them all up.
They look great on our doors and K had hers hung outside her bedroom window so she could admire hers endlessly.

My charming and homely wreath pales in comparison but works well with our log home.

A local church puts on a live nativity every year.
It is a great tradition to share with the family.
I love the caroling to get me into the Christmasy spirit.

The donkey got loose and stole the spotlight for a bit.
