Great day for Crafting

The weather is so beautiful, it still begs you to be outside all day.
The girls still think that flip flops are okay so I finally had to hide them.

We spent the afternoon in the yard with the neighbours and had so much fun crafting, laughing and playing.

With K desperately wanting us to drag out our Halloween decorations, I had to come up with some creative ways to curb her enthusiasm for the up coming holiday.
We made some fun and quick glitter cards that we will be giving to family and friends over the Halloween season.
Funny how this event has morphed into a marketing extravaganza and has literally turned into a seasonal holiday instead of a day.
I must admit I love it all, with 3 totes in the crawlspace waiting to adorn the house in a spooky manner, I don't beleive I should be saying much.

I love these cards.
The girls loved the glitter.

Next we made some spooky marshmallow skeleton heads.

These turned out to be a great craft for all the ages we house around here, from 3 to 13.
Can you believe that only the sprinkle were eaten?!!
I wonder if any kid would ever refuse a chance to paint and get mucky.
E never misses the opportunity.
Here they are making leaf lanterns and apple prints for a fall inspired craft.

The lanterns were the showpiece for our Bon fire this evening.

Autumn is proving to be a beautifully inspiring season for us.

  1. I don't know if I'm more envious of your talents, or your girls getting to have you as their mum! xox
