Eating the Goodness.

Look what I grew.
Yes cantaloupe!!
I was so sceptical when I bought these seeds, but thought I must try.
I am glad I did.
I started them in the greenhouse then transplanted outside and to my utter surprise 15 of these little beauties grew.
Although they are small compared to the store bought Mexican ones, they are perfect for us.
We have eaten a few and they are super sweet.
I will grow these from here on out and suggest you give them a try.

We have a great time figuring out new ways to enjoy all our wonderful produce from the garden.
But the old favorites are just as yummy , if not better, coming from the garden.
Juicing beets, carrots, and cukes are wonderful and easy and healthy of course.
Plum Galette coutesy of of Auntie S's plum tree and a Martha Stewart recipe.
Fresh homeade foccacia with tomatoes, basil and goat cheese brussetta.
For some of the sewing I have been busy with this week.

Here is a cute Tic Tac Toe game I made from an idea I got at Crafty Crow.
Looking at this picture made me realize I didn't need to make the board, I could have just used the rug.
