It set up nice and easy just like the box said.
The girls didn't want me to be in there (except to take photos) but instead of the peircing disappointment I would generally have felt, I have a sense of freedom and the entire house to myself.
Well for now.
I can imagine a midnight wake up is going to happen.
But until then the house is MINE!!
Chips, movie and the whole bed to myself!!
YES!!!!
Onto the rest of today.
Sunday is my at home day. I am really such a home body.
It usually doesn't pan out for one reason or another but today I was able to be home all day.
I got so many little things accomplished I feel ready to tackle the week to come.
I am super happy with the way this little vanity stool turned out today.
If you remeber I picked this up for 2 bucks yesterday at a garage sale.
I found some funky purple paint in our shop and some upholstery fabric that matched well.
I bit bright for my usual style but I love it none the less.
I found 2 metal tables a few weeks back while garage saleing and picked them up for a buck. While rumaging for paint for the stool today, I found a can of chalk board paint.
I got the idea to make a chalk table for the girls. I know they'll use it lots and still get to use it as a table.
We always have such great help around here.
I'm feeling pretty crafty on that one.
It's all wet in this picture and needs one more coat but you get the idea.
And for a surprise today!!
We have always said that we would never get a pool in our yard until the girls are capable of swimming.
But K is determined to never learn.
She is adament that she will never take a lesson and this terrifies us because we are near so much water.
This is also disappointing because we love the water.
Both girls are capable of swimming wonderfully with life jackets but she will not take the next step.
Today however our neighbor gave us a pool.
GAVE us a POOL!!!
Well what do you do then?
SO it is filling as we speak and the girls are exstatic.
We have set 2 firm ground rules:
1. They are never to go in without an adult watching!!!
2. They MUST wear their lifejackets.
Failure with either means the pool will be taken down.
Now K has said that I can show her how to swim.
This may prove to be a benefit in a round about way.
We always have such great help around here.
She was not missing out in this one.
Good Night...I have a movie to still get to.
